Youth involved in life skill trainings

Youth Leadership Development for Peace Building Program : Youths are the wealth of nation and great leaders for the tomorrow. But the situation of youth awareness and leadership among them is very poor regarding the transformation and development of nation. Some youths have been encouraged and mobilized in the destructive sectors, they are deprived from the real information and kowledge. And youths problems are often treated by short term solution. They have been separated in the process of policy and decision making. Low level of knowledge and leadership skill among youths may worsen the situation of a nation. CRD Nepal has been conducting discussion series among the youths on burning issues, leadership and enterprise development training yearly for the youth leadership. This step of CRD will help to resume the peace and encourage them for the self employment. Recently Association of Youth Organization Nepal (AYON) has been providing technical support for the continuation of this step of CRD. In this series 12 youth related issues are focused for the discussion and leadership development of youths.

Mass media Campaign: CRD has been conducting awareness raising activities to drastically slow down the spreading status of HIV/AIDS/STI, cancer, TB, Malaria and Polio. We also plan on using a mass media program that will be capable of sharing our prevention messages with a huge basin of population. To upgrade the community into a coop, epidemics CRD, will closely collaborate with District Health Office, DDC, municipalities, other organization in supportive roles.  

Trainings : CRD Nepal has been conducting trainings on cooperative and banking management, Community need assessment, project design and proposal writing, report preparation and monitoring/evaluation sequentially. Till now 65 youths from Kavre, Sindhupalchok and Dolakha have ben benefited by the program.

Days Celebration : CRD Nepal has been celebrating days as International Youth Day, HIV/AIDS day, World Environment Day since 2004 with the cooperation of DDC/VDC, municipalities, ADRA Nepal, ICD Nepal, Rotary Club of Dhulikhel, RCC Dhulikhel, local agencies.  

Youth in Exposure and Forum : CRD Nepal has been representing in any exposures and forum of Nepal conducted by Youth Initiatives, AYON and local youth organizations since 2004.

Youth in Election Process : CRD Nepal has conducted Youths in Election Process targeting constitutional assembly election with the cooperation of municipalities of Kavre districts among 200 youths. It has produced and distributed IEC materials, placed banners and cards also among the youths of colleges in Kavre.

Future Plan

Establishing youth-led Hospital and Rehabilitation Center for People Living with AIDS in Kavre region.
