Working for child education

     

Coin Support Program for Conflict Affected and Deprived Children's Education Champaign : As the result of Maoist insurgency from this last decade, most of the children from the remote areas of Nepal, are now homeless and without education. CRD has the vision of rehabilitating those children, children suffering from a lack of education and adequate shelter. To bring this vision into reality, CRD has been submitting concepts to most of the donating agencies in Nepal. A profile of 100 needy children from Kavre and Dhulikhel region have been collected with the coordination of community schools.

Sanitary Kit Distribution : Most of the children from Nepalese rural area are facing health disease due to the sanitation problems. To address the problem faced by the rural children, CRD has distributed 65 sanitary kits to create a habit of become healthier and clean for improved heath of rural children. The kit was distributed only for the use of children. Now the villagers are using the kit regularly for child heath. Daily brushing of tooth, bathing, hands washing by soap is habit of school going children. This support program is continue for the children of micro saving groups through CRD own resources.

Child Education Support Program : CRD Nepal has supported more than 55 children from Taukhal, Malpi and dhulikhel with the support of Rotary International/Rotary Club of Dhulikhel. The students were provided school bags, school books, stationeries and dress in this year.

 Out School Children Support Program : CRD Nepal has sponsored educational materials to 32 Tamang children for attending the school in Panauti Kavre. The support was provided by United for Education program of ADRA Nepal.    

Model Village Program in a particular VDC: CRD will select a VDC (Village Development Community) from the remote area of Nepal, in which  this program will address the basic needs of the people in the community, such as: basic education, awareness on health and sanitation, general information, income generating activities to be self-sustainable, develop  knowledge on preserving the environment with the help of an awareness Champaign, leadership development, gender sensitization, participatory action research and the  formation of user groups.
